INEZ RUTH MAYO January 22, 1916 - March 20, 2009 Peacefully on March 20th, Inez Mayo, aged 93 years, a lifelong resident of Mapleton, MB, passed away at the Betel Home in Selkirk. She was predeceased by her husband Ben; parents J.T. and Eliza Birston; six sisters and three brothers and leaves surviving sons, Brian and Lyall; grandson Jeffery and great-grandchildren, Brooke and Nicholas Mayo, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Inez was a lifelong member of the St. Clements Anglican Church and had been secretary-treasurer for the Mapleton School. She retired from the Middlechurch Home and spent her retirement days traveling North America with her good friend, Thelma. Inez was a resident of the Betel Home for the past seven years and the family would like to thank the staff for their excellent care. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday March 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Clements Anglican Church with Rev. Ken Pawluk officiating. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be buried with her loving husband, Ben, at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the St. Clements Anglican Church.
